OutVue 19.5 Review

Stainless, 19.5 inches, a tote bag, and well under a hundred dollars. The pit is straightforward. The listings around it are the problem, and that is what this review is mostly about.

The short answer

A competent budget smokeless pit: 19.5 in of stainless with a tote bag, at roughly a quarter of what the premium brands charge for the same diameter. The pit is not the risk. The risk is buying the wrong one — OutVue runs several near-identical listings, including two with effectively the same title at different prices.

Pick 1 · Smokeless at a quarter of the price

OutVue 19.5 in Stainless Smokeless Fire Pit

OutVue
OutVue 19.5 in Stainless Smokeless Fire Pit

19.5 in of stainless with a tote bag, at roughly a quarter of what the name brands charge for the same diameter. The gap is brand, accessories and warranty — not geometry.

What is good
  • The same 19.5 in diameter as the category's benchmark pit, for a fraction of the money
  • Stainless rather than painted carbon steel, so there is no coating over the burn zone to fail
  • A tote bag in the box makes it a genuine travel option
What is not
  • The listing states stainless but not the grade — 304 is what you want and it is not promised
  • No warranty term, against a lifetime warranty from the established brands
  • No published accessory range, so a lid or a cooking upgrade may never exist
Who it is for

Someone who wants the double-wall burn and is not paying a premium for the badge.

Skip this if

You want a warranty you can actually claim on, or an accessory path later.

What we could not assess

We have not burned this unit. These are the things a specification sheet cannot answer, listed rather than glossed over.

  • Stainless grade, unpublished
  • Whether secondary combustion performs like the benchmark pits, which nobody publishes for any pit

Pick 2 · The cheapest OutVue, with a grill in the box

OutVue 15.5 in Smokeless Fire Pit with Grill and Tote Bag

OutVue
OutVue 15.5 in Smokeless Fire Pit with Grill and Tote Bag

The cheapest way into this line and the only variant with a grill in the box — but it gets there on diameter, at 15.5 in against the 19.5 in benchmark. That is four inches of fire you will notice, so this is a cooking-first choice rather than a cheaper version of the same pit.

What is good
  • A grill in the box, which none of the other OutVue variants include
  • The lowest price in the OutVue line despite including more
  • 15.5 in packs down smaller, which matters if the pit travels
What is not
  • 15.5 in is well under the 19.5 in benchmark — a smaller fire, and shorter splits
  • Steel grade unstated, same as every pit in this line
  • An included grill is only a saving if you actually intend to cook
Who it is for

Anyone choosing between OutVue variants who wants to cook over the fire.

You want the benchmark 19.5 in fire, or the largest in the line — the 22 in is that one.

Pick 3 · More fire, still well under the premium brands

OutVue 22 in Smokeless Fire Pit with Waterproof Cover

OutVue
OutVue 22 in Smokeless Fire Pit with Waterproof Cover

The size-up in the OutVue line, with a waterproof cover instead of a tote bag. At 22 in it is larger than the 19.5 in benchmark the premium brands build to, and still costs a fraction of them.

What is good
  • 22 in takes a longer split than the 19.5 in pits without wedging it diagonally
  • A cover is the accessory most likely to extend the life of a pit left outdoors
  • Still well under half the price of a premium pit at this diameter
What is not
  • A cover is less useful than a tote bag if you intended to carry the pit
  • Steel grade unstated
  • More diameter means more wood per evening
Who it is for

Someone who wants a bigger fire than the 19.5 in benchmark allows, at a budget price.

Skip this if

Portability matters — the larger pit and a cover is the wrong combination for travel.

The variant trap, which is the real finding

Search OutVue and you get a wall of listings that look the same. They are not the same, and the differences are the sort you only notice after delivery. At the time of writing we verified four live variants:

OutVue listings verified live, by ASIN
ListingDiameterWhat is included
B0FF8SC1GR19.5 inTote bag
B0CJY16VKS19.5 inTote bag — effectively the same title, different price
B0DSKXJN6M15.5 inGrill and tote bag, at the lowest price of the four
B0CJY5RD3V22 inWaterproof cover

A 19 in variant that also included a grill was live when this page was first written and is now unavailable, which is how quickly this part of the line moves. Prices move too, so the buttons above carry live figures rather than numbers in this table.

Two listings with effectively the same title at different prices is the part worth pausing on. There is nothing improper about a brand running multiple listings, but it does mean the first OutVue result you click is not necessarily the cheapest route to the same pit. Check the diameter and the included items on the listing itself before buying, not the brand name.

What the pit actually is

Stripped of the listing noise, this is a double-wall stainless smokeless pit at 19.5 in with a tote bag. That diameter is not arbitrary — it is the same size as the benchmark pit the whole category is built around, which makes it directly comparable to pits costing several times more.

What this listing publishes
Diameter19.5 in1
MaterialStainless steel1
IncludedTote bag1
Steel gradeNot stated1
Warranty termNot stated1
Weight, height and wall construction are not published on this listing. Figures circulating for other OutVue ASINs are not quoted here, because they describe different products.

The mechanism is the standard one for the category: air is drawn up through the gap between the two walls, preheated on the way, and injected as a ring of jets at the top of the bowl where it burns off the smoke the fire is producing. Whether that works well enough to notice depends far more on your wood than on the badge, which is the argument made at length in do smokeless fire pits actually work.

What it does not publish, and why that is the trade

Two omissions, and they are the same two the whole budget end of this category shares.

The steel grade. The listing says stainless. It does not say 304, which is the grade that handles repeated heat cycling without blooming rust at the welds and edges. A pit that cycles from ambient to the flaming-combustion range every time you use it puts real demand on its metal — the published temperatures are in how hot does a fire pit get, and what the grades do is in steel gauge and alloy. Unstated is not the same as bad. It does mean you cannot compare this pit to a named-304 pit on the spec that matters most.

The warranty. No term at all. The premium end of this category offers lifetime coverage to the original purchaser, and while rust sits outside essentially every fire pit warranty ever written, a stated term is still a statement about expected life. Nothing here makes one.

Set against the price, both are defensible omissions rather than scandals. You are buying the geometry and the material class, and explicitly not buying the paperwork. That is a reasonable trade at this money — it is simply worth making it knowingly.

Against the alternatives

At 19.5 in this lands directly against the benchmark pit and against the other budget challengers, and the comparison is mostly about what each one publishes rather than what each one is.

  • Against the premium 19.5 in pits — you give up a stated 304 grade, a lifetime warranty and a deep accessory range. You keep the diameter and the double wall. The full field is in Solo Stove alternatives.
  • Against the [East Oak Fuoco 21](/smokeless-fire-pits/east-oak-fuoco-21) — East Oak publishes a 3-year warranty on its own site and includes a stand and ash pan, but its spec sheet puts the '21 in' pit at 19.1 in across the top. OutVue is cheaper and simpler; East Oak gives you more in the box and an actual warranty term.
  • Against the [TIKI Patio 25](/smokeless-fire-pits/tiki-patio-25) — TIKI publishes a 16-gauge figure, which is more than anyone here does, and costs substantially more.
  • Within the OutVue line itself — the 15.5 in with a grill is cheaper and includes more but gives up real diameter; the 22 in takes a longer split.

What we could not establish

  • The steel grade, on any OutVue listing we checked.
  • Weight, height and wall thickness — not published on this ASIN, and we will not borrow figures from a sibling listing.
  • Any warranty term.
  • Why two listings carry effectively the same title at different prices. We can confirm both are live; we cannot explain the arrangement.
  • How the secondary burn compares to the premium pits — no manufacturer in this category publishes a test method, so there is nothing to compare.

Who should buy it

Someone who wants the benchmark diameter and the double-wall burn at the lowest honest price, and who is content to trade documentation for it. If you already know wood is what decides smoke output — and it is — then the badge on the bowl is doing less work than the brands would like you to think.

Skip it if you want a warranty you could actually claim on, a published alloy, or an accessory path that will still exist in three years. Those are real things to want, and they are what the premium pits sell.

How we judged this

How these were ranked
  • Judged on what this specific listing publishes, with every figure cited to the ASIN it came from. Specifications from one OutVue listing are deliberately not applied to another, because the variants differ.
  • Alternatives are drawn from pits already verified on this site, so the comparison is against published specs rather than impressions.
  • What we did not do: burn this pit, measure it, weigh it, or test its smoke reduction. There is no test lab behind this page.

We have not burned any of these units, and we do not claim to have. The full method, including what it cannot tell you.

Common questions

Is the OutVue smokeless fire pit any good?
For the money, yes — it is 19.5 in of stainless with the same double-wall design as pits costing several times more. What you give up is documentation: no published steel grade and no warranty term.
Which OutVue fire pit should I buy?
Check the listing rather than the brand. We verified four live variants, and the cheapest is the 15.5 in, which also includes a grill — but it is four inches smaller than the 19.5 in benchmark, so it is a different pit rather than a discount on this one. Two 19.5 in listings carry effectively the same title at different prices, so compare before clicking.
Is the OutVue made of 304 stainless steel?
The listing does not say. It states stainless steel with no grade, which is the standard omission at this end of the category. Unstated is not evidence of a poor grade, but it does mean you cannot compare it to a pit that names 304.
Does the OutVue fire pit come with a warranty?
No term is stated on the listing. That contrasts with the lifetime coverage the premium brands publish, though in practice rust falls outside almost every fire pit warranty regardless of who wrote it.
How does the OutVue compare to a Solo Stove?
Same 19.5 in diameter and the same double-wall principle at a fraction of the price. You give up a stated 304 grade, a lifetime warranty and a large accessory range. Whether that matters depends on how much of the premium you were paying for paperwork.
Is the OutVue actually smokeless?
It reduces smoke rather than eliminating it, like everything in this category. Dry wood does more for smoke output than the pit does, and no manufacturer publishes a test method, so there is no verified figure to compare.
